For BIPOC Educators
Faculty: Melyssa Stone & Shekela Wanyama • July 12-16, 2021 • 1:00-2:30pm PDT
This space is specifically designed for Black, Indigenous, Brown, Asian music educators of color to gather, discuss problems of practice and cultivate community. Throughout the week, teachers will create and share lesson plans, develop pedagogical understanding to further their strengths leading as educators of color, and explore a variety of topical subjects. If they share similar interests, educators who do not identify as BIPOC should consider enrolling in World Music Pedagogy or Culturally Responsive Pedagogies in the Kodály Classroom II.
Note: Free to BIPOC participants of Seattle Kodály online courses.
