Culturally Responsive Pedagogy in the Kodály Classroom

This course will introduce tenets of culturally responsive pedagogy through a music education lens—specifically in Kodály classrooms. Through examination of traditional teaching structures, exploration of CRT pedagogical paradigms and personal reflection, participants will further develop tools to become conscious and connected educators and create spaces cohesive to student learning. Responsible examination of music repertoire selections will also be considered.
